CQC registration for aesthetic clinics, done by people who run one
We prepare your CQC application and policies, get your Registered Manager ready, and keep you inspection-ready every quarter. Fixed, published prices, and an honest answer on whether you need to register at all.
Two ways we work with you
Get registered with a one-off package, then stay compliant with a quarterly membership. Most clinics do both.
Registration package
Everything you need to submit a complete, validation-ready CQC application.
- Scope check: which regulated activities you need
- CQC application prepared with you, end to end
- Policy and SOP pack written for your clinic and your treatments
- Registered Manager interview preparation
- Mock inspection and gap report before you submit
- Support through every question CQC sends back
Compliance membership
Stay inspection-ready without doing the admin yourself.
- Quarterly compliance audit with a written action plan
- Policies and SOPs kept up to date as rules change
- Regulatory and licensing alerts in plain English
- Support line on inspection day
- Trade pricing on wholesale products
Prices are fixed and published. Pay-later options over up to 12 months, subject to status. CQC charges its own annual registration fee, paid directly to CQC.
How registration works
- Free scope call
30 minutes on your services, premises and team. You get a clear answer on what needs registering the same day.
- We build your application
Statement of purpose, policies and SOPs, and the evidence CQC asks for, written for your clinic.
- Mock inspection
We test your Registered Manager and your paperwork the way CQC will, and close the gaps before you submit.
- Submit and stay ready
A complete application in typically 4 to 8 weeks, then quarterly audits so you stay inspection-ready.
Licensing is coming. Be ready before it lands.
The government has confirmed a licensing scheme for non-surgical cosmetic procedures in England. The highest-risk procedures will be limited to healthcare professionals at CQC-registered premises.
| Risk group | Proposed oversight |
|---|---|
| Green | Licence from your local authority |
| Amber | Local authority licence, with healthcare professional oversight |
| Red | Qualified healthcare professionals at CQC-registered providers only |
Based on the Department of Health and Social Care consultation response, August 2025. Details are still being finalised.

Questions clinics ask us
Do aesthetic clinics need CQC registration?
Not always. Purely cosmetic treatments such as anti-wrinkle injections for lines and dermal fillers are not currently a CQC-regulated activity, even when a doctor or nurse provides them. You need to register if you carry out a regulated activity, for example treating a medical condition (such as anti-wrinkle injections for excessive sweating), surgical procedures such as mole removal, or diagnostic tests. Use the checker above or book a free scope call.
How much does CQC registration cost?
There are two costs. CQC charges an annual fee based on your type and size of service, paid directly to CQC; there is no separate application fee. Our registration package is a fixed £2,000 plus VAT, and covers your application, policies, Registered Manager preparation and a mock inspection.
How long does CQC registration take?
We typically help you get a complete, validation-ready application together in 4 to 8 weeks. CQC then assesses it. CQC aims to decide applications within 10 weeks, but times vary, and incomplete applications can now be rejected at validation, so getting it right first time matters.
Can you guarantee CQC registration?
No one can. CQC makes the decision. What we can do is make sure your application, policies and Registered Manager are ready, and we tell you honestly at the scope call if something needs fixing first.
Do I need a Registered Manager?
Usually, yes. Each regulated activity needs a Registered Manager unless the provider is an individual who manages the service themselves. They need an enhanced DBS check, references and evidence they are fit to manage. We prepare them for the CQC interview.
What is the aesthetics licensing scheme?
The government has confirmed a licensing scheme for non-surgical cosmetic procedures in England, with procedures grouped as green, amber or red by risk. The highest-risk procedures will be limited to qualified healthcare professionals working from CQC-registered premises. Regulations have not yet been laid. Read our guide.
